IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a Garner Hotel in Ahmedabad's Motera district with United Hospitality Management India, extending the conversion brand's footprint in one of the country's fastest-growing secondary markets.
The property will comprise 120 keys and is expected to open in 2027. Its position beside the Narendra Modi Stadium places it squarely in the event-driven demand corridor that has reshaped Ahmedabad's hotel economics.
Garner has proven unusually well-suited to India's large stock of unbranded midscale assets, where owners want distribution and loyalty access without the capital burden of a full-service conversion.
